WHAT TO EXPECT

Sunday Services – 11:00 am
Here at Garden City Baptist, our Sunday worship services generally last an hour.  We begin and end the service with singing.  During the middle of the service, we ask the congregation to give financially toward the mission of the church.  The pastor typically preaches a thirty minute relevant sermon from the Bible.  Following the sermon, there is a final song in which the congregation is encouraged to respond to God’s word.  Sometimes people will walk forward and pray at the front during that time.

We have a blended worship style that includes both traditional and contemporary aspects.  There is a choir, but also a praise band.  Song lyrics are projected on the wall, but there are hymnals in the pews.  Some feel comfortable raising their hands and clapping, others are more reverent and reflective.  Some wear a coat and tie, others wear shorts and flip flops.  We encourage you to dress and worship however you feel most comfortable!

Wednesday Services – 6:30 pm
Our Wednesday night service is very informal and generally lasts an hour.  We spend about 20 minutes sharing praises/requests and then praying.  After we sing a couple of hymns, typically our pastor will lead a Bible Study.

TeamKID for children meets from 6:00-7:30 pm during the school year.  During the summer months, check the calendar for SummerKids.

Youth meet in a separate building across the street behind the church at 6:30 pm.
